I am a painter based in Sussex. I graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Painting from the University of the Creative Arts, having followed their distance learning programme for 9 years.
My work has several strands. Currently, it focuses on place; my experience of the landscape built up in layers and with various techniques, in small paintings. I have also worked on installations, where the work reflects and creates a dialogue with the context within which it is placed. The current one is on display in Bepton Church.
Much of my previous work focused on the liminal spaces between the photograph and the painted image, usually mediated through the portrait or figure.
